ROTARY CLUB OF ALSAGER – PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION ENTRY FORM

Open Photographic Competition and Exhibition, sponsored by Sentinel Newspapers, to be held in February – March 2009.

Enter your best pictures in the Alsager Rotary Photographic Competition and win a prize. The best pictures will be displayed in Alsager Public Library. There will be a prize for the best overall photograph, runners-up prizes and a special prize for the best photograph by a person under 16. The competition is being run with the support of Alsager Camera Club and Alsager Public Library.

There is an entry fee for each picture submitted which will form a donation to Rotary-sponsored charities.

Pictures may be of any subject but must be no larger than A4. They should be mounted on card with margins all round of no more than two inches. Each picture should have its title, and the name of the entrant, written on the back, and must be accompanied by a completed entry form and the entrance fee payable for each photo entered (£3.00 for adults and £2.00 for entrants under 16). No one may enter more than three pictures. The entries judged to be the best, up to about 60, will be exhibited in the library. Photographs that do not match the prescribed format will not be accepted.

Entries should be delivered by hand to Alsager Public Library on Friday 13 February or Saturday 14 February during normal library opening hours. The exhibition will be opened on Friday, 20 February and will run for two weeks until Friday, 6 March. Photographs may be collected from the Library on the afternoon of Friday, 6 March or on the morning of Saturday, 7 March. Postal returns can be arranged if entries are accompanied by a stamped addressed envelope.
