ROTARY CLUB OF ALSAGER – PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION 2010

Rotary Club of Alsager

ALSAGER PHOTO-COMPETITIONS AND EXHIBITION 2010

It is once again time to be thinking of your entries for our photo events.  This year we are increasing the number of competitions to three.  In addition to the Alsager Open and the Junior Photo-Competitions we are also having a competition for more advanced photographers called the Large Pictures Competition, for pictures of about A3 size.  The Open Competition is sponsored by Sentinel Newspapers and the Junior Competition is sponsored by the Lodge Tyre Company.  You need to have your entries ready for delivery to Alsager Library on the receiving  days in February (see below) accompanied by an entry form for each picture entered. The entry forms can be obtained in the New Year from the Library  or, also in the New Year, downloaded from the Alsager Rotary Club website at: www.alsagerrotary.org.uk/  Think of all those wonderful holiday  pictures you took or of your family and pets and enter them. All the best pictures will be exhibited in the Alsager Library for two weeks. All proceeds from entry fees go to Rotary Charities.  There are prizes for the best pictures in all three competitions.

Entries for all competitions must be delivered by hand to Alsager Library in normal opening hours on either Friday, 12 February or Saturday, 13 February.  Entries for the Large Print Competition must be A3 or comparable. Entries for the Open Competition and the Junior Competition  must be no larger than A4 – this is a strict condition.  All entries should be mounted on card with about a two-inch margin so they can be wall-mounted in the Exhibition.
