All abilities and experience levels are welcome at our club. We meet on most Thursday evenings 7:30 to 10:00 pm (ish) from September through to May.
Click HERE for information about how to find us.
We fund the club by paying modest Subscriptions and Attendance fees. You may attend the first three meetings free of subscription, you only need to pay the weekly attendance fee of £2.50
The annual subscription is: Single membership, Adults £14.00, Couples £20.00, Senior Citizens and Juniors £10.00, payable on joining.
Our new season started on 4th September and finishes on 28th May 2009. You are welcome to come along at any time throughout the season, just make yourself known to the Communications Officer John Dennis or the Chairperson Muriel Dale or indeed any of the members, who will be pleased to give you further information about the club.
Club nights include a varied programme of activities. These cover presentations from experienced lecturers on a wide range of photographic subjects including digital imaging. We also have a number of regular competitions, both within our own membership as well as against other clubs, practical demonstrations and field trips.
For our current programme click here.
As we are affiliated to the Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union we have the opportunity to meet and compete (sucessfully we hope!) with other clubs in the region.

Exhibition by Franco Scibetta
There is an exhibition of the work of Franco Scibetta - 50 photos taken over the last 30 years - many are infra red images of Scotland and iconic buildings. It can be viewed at The Gallery, Slaters Craft Villiage, Stone Rd, Baldwin’s Gate from Tuesday to Sunday for the next few months. See http://www.franco-scibetta.co.uk/index.php
Snapshot of 60s and 70s
PICTURES taken by the late celebrity photographer Lord Lichfield are to go on display at his former ancestral home in Staffordshire.
Eight of the images have never been exhibited before and chronicle the high life of the sixties and seventies. They have now been loaned to the Shugborough estate, near Stafford, by the Lichfield archive and will be on show at the mansion house.
Called ‘fame, fashion and fast cars’, the collection features pictures of Roger Moore, Dustin Hoffman, Mick and Bianca Jagger and Stirling Moss.
Sixties model Jill Kennington, who is also in the photographs, will open the exhibition at a private launch party. The public will then be able to view the images up until October 29th.
The exhibition also features artefacts belonging to Lord Lichfield, including cameras, contact sheets, clothing from the era and a bronze cast of his hands holding a camera.
